Piedra Stone, a jewelry designer based out of Los Angeles, got her start at an early age by apprenticing with a group of renowned silversmiths in Taos, New Mexico. At the age of 19 her mentors were martial artists, shamans and world travelers who taught her the traditional art of silversmithing.

Piedra started her own line of jewelry while living in Seattle. Early supporters were other local artists and musicians, some who were members of such notable bands as Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees and R.E.M.

Piedra's line is produced in traditional hand-crafted style, carrying a deeper cross-cultural influence stemming from her diverse background and appreciation for simple, understated styles. Her ability to fuse traditional jewelry making with a retro-contemporary style is what makes her line truly unique and distinctive.
